Athletica Ambassadors 2026

Hey all,
we are happy to present our Ambassadors: athletes, coaches, technical officials, all around AMAZING people from all around the world! You’ll see them here in forum answering questions, spreading cheer, and kicking butts in races.

You’ll notice they have a little badge in their user names indicating they are an Ambassador.
I’ll leave it to each one of them to introduce themselves below!

 who goes first?

I seem to be the one!

I’m Andrew, 45 year old “triathlete” living in Liverpool, UK.

Been using Athletica solely for triathlon until this year when now I’ve switched to a marathon training plan in hope of qualifying for New York and Boston (helped by my new age category), then switching to triathlon for the rest of the year.

2nd year as an ambassador and hopefully will be able to help anyone with questions or queries they may have!

Hello all, I’m Paul Warloski. I’ve been using Athletica as a coach and athlete for three years. Plus I’m one of the hosts of our Athlete’s Compass podcast.

I use Athletica for my gravel racing in the U.S. My A race this year is gravel nationals in September. I love the platform for its science-based prescription, and I use the principles of training on Athletica on the other platform I use. It’s a great tool.

We’re due for some listener questions for the podcast! What are you curious about with your training? We have some great guests scheduled for upcoming episodes!

Hi Paul! My question is more of a technical proposal than a question… I wanted to ask if it were possible to combine two separate sessions into one. We often find ourselves with two running or cycling sessions, and while it can be useful to keep them separated by a few hours to avoid compromising quality, sometimes it can be useful to create a single workout (especially for those who don’t know how to edit workouts properly, perhaps by extending the central phase).:flexed_biceps:

HI Giuseppe, as far as I understand, no, you can’t combine the two workouts. Typically, though, when my athletes have double running workouts, it’s best to separate them by several hours and with some proper fueling. That way they get all the value of extra long workouts with less continuous training stress, which I find more valuable in the long term. We also often make that second workout a bike ride to build cardiovascular adaptation without all the muscular training stress from running.

That doesn’t exactly answer your question, though! So you can, as you mention, create a single worklut by editing one of the workouts and extending the time, but generally, you want to keep the double workouts when you can.

Yes, but as I said, it’s not me who has the problem, but many ATHLETICA users, especially for the Bike, where doubles are rarely done… in fact, it’s obviously preferable to do the VO2 or Low Cadence Workout and then the Z2 aerobic workout.

Also, as already suggested, it would be useful in the Workout Wizard (when it returns, hopefully soon…) to add a SWEETSPOT session with the same TSS as an alternative to a Bike session.

Back to the introductions!

I’m Cindy, 51 years old from Revelstoke, British Columbia. I have been using Athletica for over 5 years - coming up on 6 years this March! My main sport is triathlon (half and full distance), however I have also used Athletica to train for two marathon’s, an Olympic distance triathlon as well as several mountain bike races. This year I am training for a half distance triathlon in June, Ironman Canada in August and the Chicago Marathon in October! I’ve loved using Athletica over the years; it’s helped me reach my true potential, far beyond what I ever thought possible! I especially love the community and friendships gained near and far! As a long time user, I hope I can help fellow users with any questions regarding training or the platform!

Hey all, I am Kim, 59 year old triathlete, technical official and Level 1 Triathlon Ireland Coach from Northern Ireland. I have been using Athletica since 2023 and this is my second year being an Ambassador. I continue using Athletica due to its flexibility and in depth analysis of my training (data geek). By using all the metrics available which is synced with my Garmin, Athletica gives me historical charts to help me identify periods of overtraining or high stress. I use Athletica predominately for Ironman “A” races, and usually add local triathlon and training camps as my micro goals. Athletica is very adaptable. I can make use of my personal library to select sessions which better suit my day and it allows me to blend my Triathlon Club training sessions alongside the plan. AI coach helps me make informed choices and keeps me as injury free as possible. This year I have a ladies only training camp in Lanzarote in March, a T100 race in Kildare Ireland in May (not the pro series) and in September I have Ironman Wales. On my wish list is Norseman….. Perhaps next year? I love the Athletica community and look forward to hearing how others adapt to their training, especially those who live in the mountains (skiing) and some in very warm climates. I wish everyone well on their journey, whatever that may be and between us all, I am sure we can answer any questions to help you achieve your goals.

Hi all! :folded_hands:

Happy to be part of this group. (Also wish I knew about it 3 years ago! Would have saved me a few injuries :grimacing:)

quick intro: I’m 30 years old, former pro hockey goaltender. Post career, I thought it would be fun to do something I said I would never do: run. (My wife still makes fun of me everytime I leave for a run now!)

So I started hard and fast as soon as I retired. Ran a 10k within a couple months, then got injured. Ran a marathon, then tried to keep training but had to cancel my next two marathons because of injury. Finally got healthy and did a half, then a sprint triathlon and now here I am training for a 10k in April and more races later in the year.

Going from a professional to a real beginner has been humbling to say the least, but packed with lessons. And now I’m happy to find a community in Athletica that shares my values of consistency, health and progress!

Never hesitate to reach out if you have questions or wanna chat guys!

Super excited to be part of this group :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself… I’m Giuseppe Leccese, an Italian triathlete with ATHLETICA since 2024 and an AMBASSADOR for the second year!

I’ve believed in AI training apps from the very beginning and was a HUMANGO Ambassador in 2023/24.

I finished my first and only marathon in 3 hours and my first Full Ironman in 10 hours.

I use ATHLETICA (and especially Workout Wizard) to adapt ATHLETICA to my lifestyle. I often do other workouts, but what I find useful about ATHLETICA is the ability to assess my fitness and recovery status and, above all, evaluate my training load. I think the new version will be even more fantastic (hoping for a quick resolution to the Wizard issues!:flexed_biceps:). I love sharing ATHLETICA and HIIT content on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube comments, and I encourage everyone to do the same!:flexed_biceps::person_swimming::person_biking::person_running:
