Yesterday I ran 30 km as a marathon test: first 10 km in zone 1/2, then I was supposed to run the next 15 km in Z3 at marathon pace, and I managed it up to about 25 km, but I was already slowing down after the halfway point. For the last 5 km, cardio-wise I was fine, but I had a muscular crash. Analyzing it, it seems clear to me that I lack the necessary volume to sustain such a long run. Even with 90% compliance to training, lots of short sessions clearly don’t add up to a long run. I asked the AI coach if I should add another long run, and it said yes, but I don’t understand why Athletica isn’t already scheduling it, since I have the London Marathon on April 26 as my goal.

Hi @qfcoach ,
For context, you have declared yourself a triathlete with your A race as a 70.3 in June. You have declared London your B race. So at this point you have told Athletica to optimize for the 70.3 with the cross training and that is what it is doing; run volume may be reduced because of this. If a running race is the main aim in the future you should change this to be your A race and just schedule some light swims and bikes around it to tick over. Sorry this wasn’t made clear to you earlier.
