NO two short different training in same day

Hi, usually Athletica put two short training sessions on same day. It’s too difficult for me to manage, I can avoid this things? I could train 1h30m x lavorative day so in these day I would like to have only one discipline training. Saturday and Sunday are different.

The problem is that I’m my week I have may work travel with one or two night outside, so no giced calendar.

Hey there @qfcoach

I understand your issue. It would be great to be able to either merge two shorter workouts (if same mode), or tell the system to only allow one sport mode per day.

Here’s couple of options you can do today, and I understand not ideal as this solution requires a bit manual work.

  1. Extend the workout based on what you have available, and delete any remaining workouts for that day. Try to match the load for the day. Edit the workout inside the workout - extend manually, or just exercise longer and the system will adapt.
  2. If you have many shorter sessions per week, you could move any of those shorter sessions to the same day. Record two sessions with your watch. After a while, the system will adapt the sessions if you keep extending them. So for example, if your plan asks for 40min run and you run a little bit longer for a few weeks, the machine learning understands that you can go longer. Obviously a little annoying in the beginning to record two sessions, but it will change as you extend those.

For example, I’ve used this method for my swims after a long break from swimming. I pull two shorter swim to my swim day, record two sessions, extending both a little bit, and in few weeks those swims will be scheduled longer. Makes sense?

I will add your request to our roadmap. May I ask you, what kind of plan are you using: sport, volume?

Thanks for your answer.

I’m using Triathlon (middle distance) up to 13,5-14h x week

Yeah, so you should have meaningful time each weekday to do a solid training session - combine two shorter swim to a day you can hit the pool. Appreciate your thoughts here. We love to hear from our users, so keep voicing what you need and we will try our best to make changes that are meaningful for athletes.
