I generally always do just one group ride on the same day every week that is 30-40 miles at a pretty decent effort (load for the latest one was 117) and it would be great if there was a way to plan the schedule around always having a high intensity day for that group ride day?
I’m currently on a marathon training plan (previously was always on a triathlon one) and I have similar routine. Group ride mostly every Saturday for around 2 hours (load was 136)
I’ve found the easiest option for me is just to plan it in manually, set the effort as to what I think it will be (we sometimes ride at different paces) and then let the AI adjust the week around it. It’s easier than trying to set the plan up to put it in automatically and especially with the British weather now as it is.. I may not always do it ![]()
I’m entering my third season with Athletica. I also ride weekly with a cycling team on a 25-mile route. One group rides at a tempo pace, while the other goes faster with sprint segments.
Depending on my training phase, I choose between the two and let the workout intensity be what it is. The program then automatically adjusts my subsequent training, which has worked well for me.
