10k PR! Just like everyone here probably… it’s hard to imagine you can sustain a 7min/mile pace when your zone 2 is 10:30min/mile!
Over all the years of playing hockey, I guess I got used to being to sustain a higher HR for long periods of time?
But yeah, I trusted the process over the last few months building up to this 10k. Followed Athletica’s build, switched workouts around when I traveled, and dialed back when I was approaching overtraining.
Not only did it work, but that’s the best I felt in 3 years walking into race day.
Looking forward to the 5k on June 13th with everyone in here ![]()
