HR compliance trouble in Steady 5'/5' interval ride

Hello there!

I have just finished a steady 5’/5’ interval ride on an indoor bike and while my time spent in each power zone was according to plan (although with some higher peaks), my time spent in each HR zone was way off (see picture attached). For each of the intervals, I would either hit the desired power or drift up a little bit, but my HR would be well below the target HR. For interval sessions I always follow power or pace recommendations, but it is annoying that the HR compliance is so off. Is this a sign that my cycling zones are not well calibrated? Or should I just ignore HR compliance for interval sessions? If HR compliance should be ignored, maybe it would be nice to take it out of view for the user to avoid confusion?

Best,

Adrià

I look at the chart that has the metric I was following for the workout. If I’m doing intervals based on power, I look at the Power Zones vs Planned chart. If I’m doing a Z2 or recovery run by HR I look at the HR Zones vs Planned chart.
