Looking for a coach

Hi,

I’m a athlete that loves to train and enjoy tracking performance data. I did triathlons for 20+ years and enjoy the lifestyle. I’m currently attempting to balance strength and endurance training (strength, swim, bike and run). I have tried to get Athletica to build me a plan, but have not been able to get it right.

Thanks!

I highly recommend though admittedly I am biased since I use Simple Endurance Coaching and yes I like to brag about it! They do have several coaches now but I do use Coach Paul Warloski I am a cyclist who
has done 2 IM triathlons and have wavered on hating and loving running. Athletica has me loving running again! With a bit of pool work I feel I could or would be able to do a half IM this year or a full IM next year but I currently have differs goals and more focused on CX. A coach is a genius idea with Athletica and am really glad I still have a human coach overlooking my plan and me with what I am doing and checking and giving me feedback. If you have specific questions feel free to ask me, the forum or your future coach for sure!

Thanks Grant and nice to meet you!

I do have one question. It doesn’t seem like the Athletica will allow athletes to build their own. plan. I ended my plan that Athletica had built for me. There was nothing wrong with the plan, I just realized I didn’t want to do any racing this year. Therefore I was starting with a blank calendar. I attempted to place workout on days that suited me. I got a error notice that I couldn’t do that as I didn’t have a plan. So, I went back to Step 1 and built a plan with so many daily workout restrictions that I may have confused AI. Haha. I concluded that coaches may have additional options than athletes.

I’m all in on the Athletica. I love the tools, the science and MJ, Paul and Paul are absolutely amazing.

I appreciate the email, any tips and tricks you have learned are appreciated.

Thanks again!!

Peter

I wish I knew if the coaches have a different platform of sorts. To set up plans easier or not. I do know my plan did change like on its own after I put in a bunch of races into Athletica. And was really suprised it put me into a test week like right away. And gave me like three rest days to make sure I was well rested for them. Amazingly enough it was really good timing and could not have planned it any better because my first race will be this month.
With Workout Wizard Athletica is really flexible and you can change your weekly workouts depending on what is going on. That being said I did just requested my coach to put a 30 minute run workout during the week because workout wizard was not giving me a 30 minute workout option.
Those are my tips and tricks. Consistency in training is the idea. I do my best not to get hung up on the details with having a full time job and family.

Hi Peter, I’d be happy to talk you through your Athletica plan. I coach several athletes using Athletica. You can find a time to talk here. Thanks!
