New and seeing issues on my roadmap exceeding max hours

HI all,

I am new to Atheltica. I love the idea behind it, but I am straggling with the plan builder. I gave it mid volume 7-12 hours and i see the roadmap with up to 19 hours. Super unsure why, or how to fix it.

I rerun the plan and now it has me up to 13:25 h, much better so I’ll try that. It is still odd that it doesn’t respect the max hours on the mid volume plan.
I was expecting max 12 hours as the mid volume plan says 7-12 hours. It seems buggy. Not a great start

My change was setting max hours per day probably limiting the max. I would have hope that the mid volume hours would have taken care of it

Welcome @serave . Good you worked through this. The platform is new to you and it needs to get to know you. This process can take a few months. It is very adaptable with the new Workout Wizard as this allows you to change things if you are not up to training as per the plan. Always remember, the plan is just a guide. You are in control of it and not the other way around. Learn how to read your metrics for readiness to train and listen to your body when its too much. Make sure you do your test week also. Alot of people miss this, then expect the AI to perform as you want it. Also dont forget your strength and conditioning/meditation/long walks are included in your 12 hours, plus lots of aerobic work (depending on what you are training for). The Prof has also supplied lots of learning videos to help you navigate the platform. Enjoy your training

@KCamp thank you, i’ll try that.

For context, there is still a bug. I am pretty sure when you all have the options to choose on the plan builder, it is just generating a prompt for the ai based on the selections.

Something is off for suree, the ai is ignoreing or not giving priority to the plan volume or ignoring it. THis is not by design, in my opinion. Just want to raise it up so you all can fix it.

I love the concept that we are in control, but if the plan builder doesn’t respect the parameters of user, then what is the purpose of even having the parameter.

For context to recreate the behavior all I did was choose a goal of a race in Novemeber, selected medium volume which is 7-12 hours, and the plan generated that shows on the roadmap very quickly gets to 19 hours

@serave Thanks for sharing your Roadmap. I wish mine was a neat as that! So just for clarity, I am just an avid user of the system and by no means a techy.. I would suggest you start your plan and see how it adjusts. At the end of the day, it would be very impressive if you hit exactly the prescribed duration every week! Life gets in the way for me so, even if I have a prescribed 17 hour week, realistically it will not be met and your lovely graph as above will change accordingly. If you still think your plan is buggy, please email the helpdesk and customer support will have a look at your plan from the backend and help you get to where you want. Also, what is your race? Triathlon? Marathon? I dont see any Taper weeks which would worry me more!
