Newbie questions: adjusting the plan modality, AI discussions and strength workouts

Hi,

Apologies if these have been answered before but I could not find it in the forum.

  1. I have currently am currently doing a middle distance duathlon plan. In the run up to this event in October I will do a range of activities including time trials, running races (5-21km), a gravel race and CX races. The two key events are the gravel race in Sept (14th) and the duathlon (Oct 14th); the rest are just for fun so could be considered C races with minimal to no taper. To add to the complexity I am going away for 3 weeks in July. I will be able to run but I do not think I will be able to do any bike sessions. My question is should I use the workout wizard and modality option to force athletica to come up with a run session, should I add a fictitious goal race a week or two after I return to force athletica to populate the majority of sessions as run or should I alter the sliders and turn my cycling availability to 0%?

  2. Whilst the AI appears to acknowledge comments and feedback from sessions this appears a little passive and doesn’t really change the plan or respond directly to questions. Is there any way in athletica that you can use the AI to give advice for example pacing strategies, nutrition, session selection, etc? If not is this planned?

  3. Currently athletica has identified a shortfall in short duration power and appears to have prescribed plyrometrics as a result. Is there a way you can dictate what strength sessions you wish to do?

Thanks. As you can probably tell from the events that I do the diversity of plans on athletica are a real strength, however, I am keen to learn how the plans can blend together to give the best result; with the caveat that too many alterations will lead to a loss of specificity for a goal event. For example CX races will be treated as a VO2 session (HIIT); just with more load!

Thanks in advance.

John
