This morning is did a trail run race of 11km. I know the load calculation is different between applications but i think Athletica is starting tu underestimate exagerately the load. This is the second time it happens. Also last saturday after a trail run session the load accounted was far away from my feelings and other platforms. Today i pushed for 11km and 700mt of up and down hill with an average of 164bpm that is my threshold value for run and the load assaigned is just 111. Garmin says 307… what are happening? Itvseems like you don’t consider the elevation but only the distance.
I’m not too sure on the details but with trail running, if there are a lot of downhills, you actually spend a lot of time in the lower heart rate zones.
Isn’t that what the load is based on… not distance or elevation?
Thank you @jockefc23 but also thinking about this there is something not right. This was a race and my average heart rate was 164bpm that is my threshold value. I have run for 71 minutes at threshold values and of course my feeling at end was quite exhausted. For these reasons I have the doubt that load calculation is not really catching the effort. I see this expecially on trail run.
