Let me begin by saying that I like Athletica mainly because the team has been communicative and addressing all user’s concerns. So, great job fixing the plan generation (~for 98% of the users, that’s commendable)
Here’s a problem that I am facing: I am training for Olympic Triathlon in August and a Marathon in September. (Maybe it’s not a wise decision) I generated the plan with Triathlon as “A” Priority and Marathon as “B” priority.
The AI generated plan focused solely on getting me through for the Triathlon until August and inserted Base-Build Run workouts for the 3 weeks in between August and September.
Is this the expected behavior? I was expecting the plan to build my running workouts gradually for a few months and not just for 3 weeks.
I had the same problem, with a triathlon scheduled for September 2026 and a half marathon scheduled for March 2026, with half marathon training only starting 3-4 weeks before the event.
I also expected running to take up a little more space in the plan, but I don’t think that’s possible.
Hi, this isn’t an unusual problem (if you search back through I think myself and about 4 other people have had the same query)
Currently I’m on a marathon training plan as my A race in April then switch to triathlon with a middle distance race in July and an IM in September.
Ideally I would have liked to have a more running focused triathlon plan until April but in reality that isn’t possible as the marathon is just too difficult to prepare for as a race on its own. So I just set the marathon plan up and I insert / swap some swim and bike sessions in for run, depending on how tired I am.
It all really depends on which race you want to take more seriously.
