I know this is probably a stretch, but I think having the ability to create a training plan, and have a “versioned”/“active”/“inactive” history of them would be really nice.
Since starting with Athletica, certain situations raised where I wanted to take a rest week, recalc my plans for late season races and I am finding it hard to “revert” to a plan which I thought was solid, but just needed an exception or break for a couple days or week. In these instances, it seems like the general suggestion here on the forum is to delete the days workouts, or schedule a rest week. Which I think in certain instances does work well. In others not so much.
For example: I have wanted to spend the first 2 months of this year in a more mid volume/long distance/strength focused plan, I managed to get these workouts in Athletica. Now I have a “C” race coming up (Middle distance tri) and want to spend the next two months focused on this discipline/workout structure. So I edited the priority of races, but the plan has completely my workouts beyond that “C” race.
Having the ability to see a history of “plans” which were built/created for me, and their respective settings would be sufficient. Having the ability to “switch” between these would be really nice
Maybe other athletes set their races at the start of the year and do not change their plans. I also think some athletes generate one race at a time. I dont think this feature is useful for those situations, but I think there is a certain curiosity with my approach, which this type of feature would satisfy. It may also give me some additional confidence in the platform/product which is repeatability.
