Race Reports 2025

Hi everyone! I actually had to take some time to think so I wouldn’t forget any race! It’s been a crazy season!

My season is split in two parts – the first half was preparation for a half distance race and testing what I want to do later in the second half, which is preparation for the Ironman 70.3 World Champs.

The first part included:

  1. Half marathon – 3rd place :3rd_place_medal:

  2. Trail run relay – 1st place :1st_place_medal: (fun, unplanned)

  3. Cycling race – 4th place

  4. Olympic distance – Challenge Šamorín (Slovakia) – 1st :1st_place_medal:

  5. Half Ironman – Czechman – accomplished my sub-5 goal and finished 5th

Pretty epic! All the spots were in AG.

Then summer training break followed with a fun XTERRA triathlon (I don’t even own an XC bike ) – 1st :1st_place_medal:

My second part of the year has already started:

I started training and heated up the engine on the Olympic distance, which was part of Ironman 70.3 Czech Republic – 2nd :2nd_place_medal:

And today I finished my preparation half distance race – Challenge Sanremo, where the goal was to test racing on a hilly route!

And with that, there is only one race left – Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, which will take place in November

On 21st September, 2025, I ran the Wipro NEB Bengaluru Full Marathon in my country India in 3:57 hours. A PB for me! I had set a goal of 3:50 hours at the beginning of the training plan. On the race-day got boxed in the crowd for the first 5K with no overtaking opportunity, and hence my first 10K took me ~1 hours. But, my training plan from Athletica.ai enabled me to race the remainder 32 kms in ~2:57 hours. I enjoyed my training plan, and look forward to the training plan generated for my road 100 miler in December, 2025. All the best to everyone training and racing in any sport.

Congratulations Jatin! That’s amazing - even with the congestion in the beginning!

Hi all mates!!!

Yesterday my last triathlon race of the year, a sprint race with 1200 triathletes running around due it was the Italian championship for this distance.

The male age group were little more than 800 persons and I finished around 450 so slower the usual in my Olympic and middle distance where I am in the first half. In the last years I trained too much for longer distance instead of these faster races.

The swim was so nervous and with a lot of crowd but I came out pretty well. Considering my few train on swim i am pretty happy with just 14’ in the water.

In the bike i can’t express as I want. My legs were a little bit tired maybe I didn’t follow a good taper week and I already said in other topic that this could be a field of improvement for Athletica. I reach a group of around 20 peoples and I wasn’t able to pass them so I preferred to stay with them and try to give changes to reach some other person. Closed in less than 31’ at 38km/h average.

The run is my sad part of the race. I believe that Athletica run sessions are the best I ever had but it’s bytheway the sport where i lost more in these last years. I should understand why and improve absolutely. I close the run in 23’ at an average of 4’43” while I should stay at least below 4’30”.

At the end (considering the longest transition area of the story) I closed in 1h 14’ 11"

This is not my target race so it was anyway a funny experience and give me clear indications on my weaknesses that I would improve this winter with the help of our AI coach!!:raising_hands::raising_hands::raising_hands:

Thanks for the report! Those sprint races are brutal after long distance racing! You did amazing!

Thanks for the feedback on your taper weeks. I’ve noted those down.

Whistler UTMB 2025 50K Race Report - September 27th, 2025

Hey Athletica! Here is my race report from the UTMB Whistler 50k:

The challenges of this race started well before race day, with a course change that added 500m of vert to the day and a weather forecast for 15mm of rain during race morning. My original goal time was sub-6hrs, but I had said I’d be happy with sub-7. All that to say, race weekend came around and I felt as ready as I was ever going to be - mostly thanks to Athletica making sure I kept getting out for the next session.

The Race: The weather was as predicted (very damp), I started conservatively for the first 10km and then put in a concerted effort up the main climb of the day to the summit. I crossed the summit checkpoint (18km in) about 15mins down on my pacing plan, with the confidence I could make that up. My stomach then gave up on me (22km in), I’ll spare everyone the details but it wasn’t pretty. After digging myself out of that hole I managed to settle into a good rhythm from km 28 to 38 where I got a second wind. Until… I took a wrong turn. Managed to get back on trail with another runner who wasn’t having his day and we kept each other pushing through to the finish line. A roller coaster experience and one of the harder things I’ve done in my life.

The Stats: Distance - 50.5km; Elevation - 3097m; Time - 6:35:35; 34th Overall

Very happy with the result, thanks to the Athletica.ai team for building such a great training tool, now it’s time to find the next challenge. A special shout out to @cmaloney and @Prof for their encouragements along the way!

Photo Comments: (1) about 32km in, settled into a rhythm, having fun, (2) over the line, drained.
