Pre-Marathon Load Ramp-up

I have my A race set for a half Ironman next June and a B marathon later this month. Most of my training has been bike focused, and next week the ramp up on running seems pretty steep. I’ll definitely be cutting this back so I don’t injure myself, but not sure what the thinking is here. The giant spike is the race and I’d expect that, but doubling fatigue from now to a few days before is what worries me

I’ve noticed something similar - what does the rest of your plan look like for the next few weeks (in terms of cycling and swimming?)

I did my last triathlon at the end of August and then the plan shifted to a half marathon I have next week. What I noticed was that my running volume went from 25-30 miles up to almost 60 miles some weeks. Obviously I used common sense as swapped some of the run sessions out for bike or swim (as there were none planned).

I wonder if the AI looks at your overall fitness and tries to match that with just running volume somehow, not taking into consideration the load? But then I have seen warnings that my running form is too low on certain days. So it’s odd.

Again though, it’s a case of sense checking the decisions and not just following it blindly. Which can be said for human coaches or non-AI plans.
