Recovery Workouts (Cycling)

Each week I have a 1h recovery workout scheduled. It’s a pretty easy workout, if a little boring, but I always do complete it.

I was wondering whether and how the Athletica system interprets the data from the recovery workouts, or if it’s just a way of signalling that an easy day is required. Is it a critical part of data processing?

Recovery rides are mostly for you to gauge your own recovery status. Does an easy recovery ride truly feel easy? If not, you probably need more recovery.
