Best method for using with peloton

Does anyone use this combined with peloton?

My use case is I need some general structure rather than just wake up and run/bike. I have a large history of triathlon training and racing. But am trying to get back into it after some years off and on. I have limited time so figure this is a great usage of efficiency.

Today the plan suggests a 30 minute hiit workout. I load up a 10 minute warm up ride followed by 20 minute hiit ride on peloton. The first warm up ride auto links as the hiit suggestion in the app and then the actual hiit ride gets marked as an extra ride. So now I’m getting dinged because my hiit workout wasn’t enough and I did an ‘extra’ ride.

Is there any way to link all rides into one? Mark the actual hiit as the planned workout?

I tried unpairing and repairing and it seemed very buggy but maybe I don’t fully understand the feature.

Edit to add, I’m syncing peloton to Strava which is paired with athletica if that makes any difference. In my pairing efforts it also completely hijacked the names of my Strava workouts and they’re all wrong now too but that’s less of an immediate issue.

There are some external tools to join a FIT or other workout file into one, but then you still have to go through the effort and then unpair / repair. It’s an often requested feature to combine workouts IN Athletica, and I am 90% sure it’s already on the backlog, just behind other features.

But one thing you CAN fix right away: go into your settings and edit the Strava connection to uncheck the “send session names to Strava” box. This will prevent Athletica from overwriting the names of your workouts.
