Hi @angussedgwick … I just had a look at your profile. The response of the AI coach likely relates to the order of your tests - AI coach is basing comments off what it sees. I am guessing that your zones are not yet appropriately calibrated. This should occur once you’ve done your 20min all out cycling test (FTP) and I am guessing that should lift your critical power, which would lift all your zones accordingly. Let us know if that occurs please.
Hi Paul - thanks for the feedback. My issue is not that the zones may be inaccurate, but rather the data in the Session Chart is correct, but the data (for the same ride) in the Time in Zones graph is completely wrong with unrelated data being presented (compare the data in the above 2 screenshots). This must be a bug.
Morning, coach says this morning my power threshold is 224, my ftp currently is 276, which I get from Trainer Road auto ftp. I would have considered test week but have a small wrist fracture and too uncomfortable doing 20 min test. I wonder if I have something set wrong ?
Hello!
@Prof Could you please help me understand how this works in Athletica.ai?
When I make changes in the training plan settings — for example, if I add an additional available day for swimming (let’s say Wednesday) — the system prompts me to update all of my workouts when I try to save.
Am I correct in thinking that it’s not possible to simply add one extra available day (on which I now have time for a swim session) without resetting the entire training plan? Will the plan be fully recalculated from scratch with new periodization once I save?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Cool concept and I will check back again in 6-12 months. Agree -bugs, bugs everywhere - poor new user instructions for creating workouts, log in issues - just too frustrating at this time and definitely would not coach athletes with Athletica in its current state. Looking forward to seeing what the future brings.
Noticed a few quirks.
It decided to increase my Strength and Conditioning workout from 36 to 47 mins without actually changing the sets
I struggled with Low Cadence workout today, had to keep pausing on 2nd and 3rd set. Told it that and marked it 10/10 after but it’s just prescribed the same workout next week, surely the AI should have shortened the lengths ? Isn’t that the whole point of this ? When you mark one on Trainer Road that way it adapts upcoming workouts.
Thanks @Danner ,
I’ve found that bug and that shouldn’t happen again for you on the Time Trial plan. Please shout out if it does.
Our AI does not yet do this in terms of dropping rep numbers directly - it focusses more on the load optimization (your Performance Potential Chart). In addition, we look to the user self regulate these sorts of nuances via the Workout Wizard tab. So for your next SE workout, please click on that tab and use the duration or fatigue tab to downregulate the load of the session to your ability.
Great thanks @Prof will do.
Last thing - one workout seems to have an overestimated load value prior to me doing, the HIIT intervals. This week it said it would be 132 which I knew was too high, it was 86. Next week it says 127. Just wondering if thats skewing the load projections going forward.
So this is the journey you’ve asked Athletica to take you on based on your 8 week FTP train to maintain build plan. These are the daily load numbers its using to help you try to achieve that aim. They change daily depending on what you do, or don’t do. But your life and context rules always and no AI in the world can keep up (yet). That is why we’ve equipped you with tools to make these key decisions on a daily basis. The key tools are your HRV (Recovery Profile) and Workout Wizard. Our self-coached guide linked below.
Dear @Prof Can you answer to my question, please?
Sorry to miss this one @Kormozaparnik ,
I’m not sure I entirely understand your question. Does it relate to ‘Settings’ => Training where you update your availability and specify the exercise mode(s) you want to train? If so, then yes, you will be prompted to update your plan. Indeed, then your new plan will be recalculated based on the constraint you’re asking Athletica to consider. Hope that makes sense.
Did a workout today 4 x 15 @ 270 w … Athletica says my threshold increased from 224 to 230 something …
Tomorrow is my A race as you can see on my calendar. The AI said get ready for a rest day tomorrow… what did I do wrong?
Nothing. The coach doesn’t recognize races yet. Just ignore it. ETA: and get ready for a chuckle when you see the feedback tomorrow.
Well that’s strange… Lol
All the best for your race
Let me know if the coach recognized your race as the race or as an unplanned session after the race. The same happened to me last week.
