Going "Unscheduled" on a training plan

Hi Folks,

When you ‘Go unscheduled’ how to you restart your schedule?
Thanks

Hi @Pablo_ie ,
You should be able to go back to your Training settings and select either a race to do or Train to maintain.
Let me know if you have any difficulties with that.
Best,
Paul

Ah OK, it’s enter the original race events and go again.

Thanks

I tried using “Go Unscheduled” for my vacation this week.

Now after trying to “revert” the setting. The box is unchecked, all my goals are removed and a system message shows on the page.

Everything a little confusing, perhaps someone can help me to get back to my original goals and start my training plan again.

Thanks

My understanding is that once you “go unscheduled” the coach takes all your goals and races out completely. It looks like your training plan is still being generated but I wouldn’t worry about the 100% bar at the top.

Just put your goals and races in and generate a new plan. It should work normally from there.

Thanks, well if this is the case, why having a checkbox?

If all the goals get deleted I could have done this on my own, but my assumption is anither one.

I thought using this while on holiday, so Athletica is not bugging me about my trainings, and if I am back I get the checkbox cleared and the training plan back.

@Marjaana and @Prof what is the intention/idea here?

Hello @herbert

Thank you for teaching us one more way we need to improve! I don’t think anyone has yet to use “ go unscheduled” for a vacation. We definitely need to be better giving an explanation what happens if you use this function as a week or two vacation. Indeed it basically wipes out whatever you had planned from before.

I think this was initially intended for season break or just a break..

I think we need to add “gone fishing” mode where it just “hides” or deletes workouts for X days.

Yes — I was about to ask what to do about the weeks skiing vacation in a few months. Is it better to delete the planned sessions or just outright miss them? Or is that actually the same from the point of view of the algorithm?

Damn, would I have know this first  but yes, for me with 5 "goals” per year, it never came into my mind, that it could be tedious to remove goals manually from the plan.
I also expected (but just don’t know) that if I reached a goal by date or doing the race, they get removed from the overall goals automatically.

So yes, after all, I put back my races  and ask for a “gone fishing” mode  as this could be also used for being really sick, or on a business trip were it is impossible to fulfill the prescribed trainings.

And even if it is an AI coach, I want to keep him/her/it happy  and try to stick to the plan as good as possible. And want to get good compliance feedback
