Help Us Settle the Fueling Debate—Join the FIELD Study!

Hi team,

I’ve just published a new blog post introducing the FIELD Study (Fueling Influence on Endurance Load & Development)—our biggest real-world project yet on how different long-term fueling patterns relate to performance, fatigue, and recovery.

If you train with a wearable on Athletica and follow any diet—high-carb, low-carb, or something in between—you can take part. All you need to do is:

  1. Complete the 15-minute survey
  2. Be an existing Athletica subscriber or start a free 2-week Athletica trial
  3. Let your existing training data do the talking

Please also help us promote the study to your fellow athletes. Anyone can join. Your data will be anonymised and analysed by a world-class research team including Tim Noakes, Jeff Volek, Andrew Koutnik, and Philip Prins.

Thanks in advance for helping us advance research and understanding in the era of Sports Science 3.0.

Responded. Though I think you’ll already have idea on what my diet may be. For the fasted bit, I assume you are including any 12 hour period, thus the time between an evening meal and breakfast can count.

Any recommendations how to join if my Athletica e-mail address is not my gmail address? Tried to open from different browsers and guest modes but either the survey opens with my gmail account and I can’t switch to a non-gmail address or can’t open the survey page before signing in.

Hi @Gunita … if you DM me both emails and what is associated with what I will start a Google sheet to record and link these for you and others in this situation. Thanks for participating!

There’s an option in the survey where you are asked to provide your Athletica email address seperate from gmail. But needing to be logged in with gmail will exclude people, as not everyone uses it.
