im targetting a few marathons for 2025 but would like to still include a good cycling fitness for long endurance rides. is this possible? i’ve managed to add ‘cycling’ in my current program but its pretty much useless as its always on short ‘recovery’ rides. Can’t do the duathlon program as the run is ‘short’. If there’s no way to add just ‘cycling’ should i use the full distance triathlon program and just dont do the swim?

Sounds like a great year for you! Exciting.
Here’s what I would do:
Use the marathon plan, pick your long rides dates, and use the workout wizard (select cycling option and extend that one as you wish). OR,
Create a few cycling workouts (hit that plus sign) and save those to your library. Then pull them in your calendar from your library when you want to ride your bike. And delete the run.
Additionally you can do some of your hiit sessions on the bike to save your legs during those big weeks or to provide mental variety.
