How to Pace IM Bike w/out FTP?

As above, I understand this whole critical power method, but I’m not sure how that really helps me on race day. I’ve read that I should really be looking to go at 65% of my FTP but if that isn’t being measured, how should I pace myself?

Do I keep needing to do critical Power or FTP tests? Is this automatically getting updated as I do my indoor training rides? It doesn’t seem to update that much, if ever.

I’ve updated your settings to ‘ask me’ on the threshold changes so you know when Athletica detects a change or not, and you can either accept or dismiss the detection.
FTP = CP
Your pacing recommendation are on Overview => Zones for each discipline.
If you’ve never done the 20 min FTP test then its not a bad idea to do as this is the key calibrator of your CP (Charts => Cycling Power Profile).
