New Cyclist / Swimmer : Strong Fitness, No Goals

Hello! I am diving in both for myself as an athlete as well as a coach. I look forward to learning about the power of Athletica! Description of my athlete needs: I am a health based athlete that likes to bike and swim. I also do strength training with a personal trainer. I had to choose triathlon to add swimming but I don’t currently run. I don’t do triathlon races but do cycling events. I couldn’t get a plan unless I choose a triathlon event. As of last week, I don’t have any events now and am focused on having a plan with variability both in training stress and throughout the year so I can maintain my strength and fitness. Too many constraints? Ideally I do not have to delete all the workouts that are not relevant. Finally, because I am in good form, can I just continue my intensity work?

As a coach I lead spin sessions every Tuesday and Thursday that I am looking forward to aligning with Athletica. But they are still my own spin sessions with at minimum 20 minutes warm-up because that is what my clientele need. I am wondering how I could bring over my athletes to Athletica without having to drag and drop a created workout into every single athletes plan. I also don’t really like the idea of having “unplanned workout” pop up as it was planned.

I am certain I will have a lot more questions but that is lots to start! Thanks for all your help and I look forward to this!

Hi @Element ,

Welcome and great to have you here!

As an athlete, in your Daily Availability settings I’ve tweaked these for you. I’ve blanked out running and rowing (in accordance with your described goals), and added a fictitious race to create build phases in line with your intensity comment. Here is the output. Use Workout Wizard to adjust daily to your preferences.

For your coaching question, while not a perfect solution, here is what you could consider. Adjust your spin sessions to your liking on Athletica and add these to your coaching library. Paste these appropriately into the dates (i.e., Tues and Thurs) for each athlete. Add these to your Athlete’s weekly sessions (screenshot from my coach account). Then its as simple as adding these into their training calendar each week (I will typically do this on Saturday or Sunday of each week). Not sure how else we could do that but we are always open to building smoother ways to help.
