Physiology-based Race Day Warmup Workouts for Shorter Race Events

@Prof, I see a lot of thoughts and opinion-based prescriptions for pre-race event warmup routines/workouts for shorter, more anaerobic-taxing race events (e.g. 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k).

Understanding there will be differences on approach based on the modality (I’m into rowing), I would be interested on thoughts about warmup workouts based on an athlete’s current aerobic/anaerobic fitness.
