Hi,
I’m training for a marathon on 12 october. it would be great if it is possible to set (or let AI set) process goals. For instance after 4 /8/12/16 weeks plan in a “Key workout” in function of the training phase and the goal you are trying to achieve. (I don’t mean ABC races). Those Key workouts can represent a specific requirement for the ultimate goal you set. That way the ultimate goal can be broken up into sub process goals where you can work towards. I don’t know if this makes sense from a training perspective, but those Key workouts would make it easier for me to mentally prepare for the ultimate goal of running a marathon.
Dear @Dennis thank you for your message.
Can you please clarify here what do you mean by goal? Would you like to see predictions of your marathon time with real-time adjustments, or you would like to see goals such as “run 10k in 40 min is the goal of this training block?”. Etc.?
Hi, what i mean by process goals are certain types of workouts that can be viewed as “essential or tests” in order to reach your main goal. For my marathon that could be for example run for 2 hours comfortably in zone 2 after let’s say 4 or 8 weeks, then after you’ve done that , the next goal could be to be able to run 2 x 30m at marathon pace (for the time you set for running the marathon.) The AI might analyse those key sessions and evaluate the plan and the goal accordingly. The idea is to break the main goal down into certain stepping stones to achieving it. This could add motivation and realism to the training plan. Does that make sense?
Makes sense. Thank you @Dennis.
