New season is approaching, starting September 16th!
Registration opens soon, so if you are keen on racing cycling only, or duathlon, comment to this thread. We are hoping that this season we will have more teams join. Anyone can join an Athletica team, so if you have a friend who loves to race on Zwift, invite them!
Now… who is IN?! Cycling or duathlon? Comment below
Awesome, @cgamio ! First steps are to register (if you have not already) at zwiftpower.com, using your current Zwift credentials. You’ll need to be category C or lower in order to race with the team. You’ll also need to send your Zwift ID to @Marjaana so that she may add you to the team.
After that, you’ll need to choose the “bumble bee” jersey in the Zwift garage. It’s called the “Basic 1”.
I haven’t been on Zwift for the season and have been trying ROUVY recently but plan on getting back onto Zwift in September. I’m on the East Coast of the US and my availability is generally in the morning or weekends, but I work from home so I sometimes get pockets of time throughout the day for shorter workouts. I am on Zwift power but since I haven’t done anything in a while it has me as E. If I remember correctly I was in D before. Planning to do a test week in the near term which will hopefully provide some better data. My username in Zwift is rufusisnodufus.
Now… which league? Last year we’ve raced Tuesdays 7:30pm CT as we have folks on the westcoast and CT. Now, @cgamio this is hardly optimal for you on the east coast.
we can either do 5am LA time or 5:30 pm LA time for one group and we could do 6PM london for our european friends (and you could possibly join for lunch race?)
Anyone wanting to join, please indicate best time for you.
MJ
Rather annoyingly, it seems like after my zwift race this morning I’ve been bumped back up to B category. I was hoping that my extra weight at the moment was keeping me down.
If there are any other Bs out there then hit me up!
5AM PT (8AM ET) would be ideal for me but I could probably swing 5:30PM PT (8:30PM ET). The lunchtime option (6pm GMT, 1pm ET) also could work but would be kind of tight getting ready ahead of time.
I don’t expect people to go out of their way to accommodate me, but regardless let me know about any coordinated races ahead of this. I’m planning to do a standard ftp test in Zwift tomorrow since ZwiftPower indicates that should be enough to identify a pace group
