When I try to add data from my bike ride on zwift, I am now getting an error message that it is an unsupported file extension.
Looks like it is fixed.
I don’t think uploads of fit files are working still. Also the zip format (which I usually use from Garmin Connect) is no longer accepted.
Hello @Robert
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. May I ask why you upload zip file from Garmin connect and not use the connection that pulls the data for you? You would save a lot of hassle of manual work to let the Connect→ athletica do the work for you, and focus on training
It would be great if you can try again and report back if upload is not working. We applied a fix yesterday, and need to know it is working. Thanks
MJ
I don’t use automatic upload because I prefer to have control over which workouts end up with Athletica.
The present case involves a fit file corresponding to a club time trial that I rode yesterday evening after which I got home too late to upload it to Athletica. This morning I tried to upload the zip file as I usually do, but get the error “Unsupported file extension: zip”. If I try and upload the corresponding fit file, it seems to save but the data don’t end up associated with the relevant workout in my Training Plan.
Update: the latest attempt seems to have worked. Nope, it was because I transiently set up automatic upload from Garmin Connect. That’s not how I want to upload activity data.

OK, a formal request! Please restore the ability to manually upload fit files, ideally as a zip file. Forcing my to link Garmin Connect isn’t acceptable to me and my workflow. Automatic upload from Garmin Connect brings across activities I don’t want in my Athletica account.
hey @Robert I got you. I’ve reported this to our dev team. Please hold.

One other thing. I briefly connected my Garmin Connect account and it seems to have scheduled a huge data transfer to Athletica. It’s possible my file upload is awaiting that to complete (even though I terminated the connection), but that might take a while as it’s bringing in masses of activities including some from before I ever joined Athletica.
