Changing Workout Plan due to Warning

Hello friends,

I’m sorry if this has been asked before. I tried to search around the forum, and wasn’t really able to find what I was looking for.

Basically right now I have some warnings that I will not have enough fitness for my race that I have planned this year. It recommends that I either increase hours, or change workout plan to a lower volume plan. I had a small knee injury which sets me back a little, and I think that is why I started to get the warning. I’ve seen a doctor and at my request he prescribed me some physio hours.

I am now in my second build phase, and do not know what will happen, if I go ahead and switch plans. I believe there is a pop-up saying that the current plan will be discarded. Does that mean I start form build-week-1?

I know I have the option to skip training week when adjusting the plan. Is it a bad thing for me to switch to a lower volume plan or adjust the training hours? Or should I just ignore the warning for a bit and see what happens? I’ve read by our Prof in some other posts, that Athletica is always looking out and justing based on whats happening.

I would tend to try to go for 1-2 more hours for my training plan (right now I have a maximum limit set). When I was in the “low” training plan, it recommended that I switch to a higher plan. I’m mainly just wondering what the consequence is if I change training plan, esp considering the pop-up that the progress is lost when switching plan. Is the progress also lost when changing up the max hours for the plan?

Thanks in advance! Fr0sty
