If I have no other option but to miss a session. Is it better to leave the session on the schedule or to delete it? If deleting it will the programing be able to properly adjust upcoming sessions?
Many thanks, Joe

Hi Joe. Its irrelevant and your choice. My OCD likes to delete but if you don’t do the session by the end of the day then the updates will occur for the next day just like the session wasn’t there (slightly dependent on update settings in your profile).
If I know in advance I won’t be doing a session on a future day I delete it. If it just happens I miss it on a day for “reasons” then I leave it there as missed. As the @Prof says, your future sessions will look the same regardless.
Thank you. I have noticed for example with cycling, when I look at the week starting on a Monday. Saturday is typically my long ride day, these will be either Aerobic Development or Race Pace efforts, depending when my next race is scheduled.
Typically these are around 1 hour 45min give or take some minutes. During the midweek I’ll have a longish ride also scheduled (1 hour 10min). If I miss or have to shorten the mid week ride, it appears that the AI programming will do its best that I have the appropriate progressive load and add time or load to my Saturday long ride so that I still meet that week’s load, fitness, form, fatigue goals. This is great and one of many reasons why the Athletica training has been working well for me this season.
