🆕 New Feature: Switch to a Base Week (Now Live!)

Flexibility in your training plan just got easier.

Athletica now allows you to change your current week to a Base week—a feature requested by many of you. You’ll find this option directly in the Overview tab:

:right_arrow: Simply hover over the date of the microcycle you want to change, and you’ll see the option to switch it to a Base week.

Why this matters:

There are several contexts where inserting a Base week makes sense:

  • You’re heading into a short-notice race and realize you need to lay down a better aerobic foundation before hitting the intensity of a Build phase.
  • You’ve just come off illness, a break, or life stress, and want a smoother on-ramp back into structured training.
  • You’re working to build durability before sharpening for race-specific demands.

This update gives you the autonomy to shape your training journey, without breaking the adaptive intelligence of Athletica’s system.

Hi @Prof. Great new feature. Unfortunately, I just tried to convert the current week to a base week and got an error in the lower right hand corner of the screen that said “Please choose an option.” Same when I tried to change next week.

Thanks @BrentK … would you be so kind as to grab a screenshot of the error for me and also specify the browser you’re using. I don’t want to mess up your account accidently.
