Flexibility in your training plan just got easier.
Athletica now allows you to change your current week to a Base week—a feature requested by many of you. You’ll find this option directly in the Overview tab:
Simply hover over the date of the microcycle you want to change, and you’ll see the option to switch it to a Base week.
Why this matters:
There are several contexts where inserting a Base week makes sense:
- You’re heading into a short-notice race and realize you need to lay down a better aerobic foundation before hitting the intensity of a Build phase.
- You’ve just come off illness, a break, or life stress, and want a smoother on-ramp back into structured training.
- You’re working to build durability before sharpening for race-specific demands.
This update gives you the autonomy to shape your training journey, without breaking the adaptive intelligence of Athletica’s system.
