Library Sessions are now available to all beta users.
Users can browse and select from all sessions matching their current weekly volume, across all modalities.
We’ve limited sessions by volume to keep them relevant and avoid duplication.
A small UI update allows toggling between your Athlete Library and the Global Library via the left-side panel. Additional filters are accessible through the three vertical dots.
I’d also like to be able to see the workout structure and duration. Maybe hovering over it or clicking on it to expose the card data that you see on the calendar?
Smart Filtering: It would make sense to filter options already at the first step — for example, if I choose “Run,” options like “Open Water” shouldn’t appear. Similarly, if I select a session aim that isn’t available for a given discipline, that discipline shouldn’t be shown. This would really streamline the user experience.
Preview Session Details: I’d really appreciate the ability to preview session details before making a selection. Right now, I’m choosing based on short descriptions, and it’s hard to decide without seeing the full breakdown of the session.
Workout Wizard for Custom Sessions: This might go beyond the current release, but I’ve been wondering — would it be possible to enable the Workout Wizard for sessions I’ve manually added? Sometimes I input a session with a specific aim in mind, but I’d love to review or adjust the modalities using the wizard.
Same as others really, I’d like to be able to see the load and duration of a workout before adding it to my plan. Maybe even have those as filters. Maybe I’m looking for an aerobic session with a load range 100 to 150. Maybe I am looking for a threshold session about 40-60 minutes duration. Maybe I want an aerobic session about 2.5 hours.
I really appreciate this feature - thank you for implementing this and putting in the various test week workouts.
the global library tab on the left of the training plan screen does not populate automatically, I have to click on the search button to get it to populate
as others have pointed out, it would be great to be able to visualize / preview the workouts
is athletica adding the workout in context of my overall plan? The length of the aerobic workout, the number of reps for 30/30s or other intervals, etc.?
if the idea is that I’m adding manually, so athletica will enter some canonical or vanilla version of the workout, maybe add a dialog or screen where I can see and modify what’s being added to the calendar. This could be the existing workout edit dialog.
