Questions about exclusion of certain Hyrox specific workouts in the Hyrox high-volume training plan

Hey! I am on the Hyrox high-volume training plan with my Hyrox being on April 12th, 2026. The plan was auto-refreshed by the AI coach over the last weekend, and I’ve realised that a few changes have taken place as below.

(1) Earlier there were 3 strength sessions: (a) A Deadlift leading strength session, (b) A Hyrox station combo without intermediate runs, and (c) A “Multisport” Brick Simulation. Now, after this auto-refresh, there are only 2 sessions, (a) and (c) as mentioned above. Is this intentional, or should I include the (b) session on my own?

(2) Sled Push is being programmed only during the recovery week, and is completely missing during Build 1 and Build 2. Is this intentional, or should I include this exercise on my own?

(3) Farmer’s walk is completely missing from the training plan. Is this intentional, or should I include this exercise on my own?

Hey, @Marjaana ! Have you had an opportunity to read this concern from me? Thank you!

Sorry, slipped my attention.

We’ve updated the HYROX high volume plan so certain changes are due to the updates. Actually Siren who wrote that blog post is an expert in HYROX and tweaked our plans, thanks Siren!

My recommendation for you would be to add the missing workouts only if you feel like you are handling the overall load well. I think you bring a good point in adding the station specific sessions if you are at a phase where you are approaching the race and you’ve already had a good block of training with those exercises. Please let me know if I’m not clear.
Yes, if you’ve had a solid block using station specific work, keep doing those. If fatigue creeps in, please feel confident to drop or reduce station work.
How is your running?

If I’ve understood correctly, you’re suggesting that if i’m feeling recovered, I could possibly manually add another day of Hyrox specific stations workouts? Which workout stations would you suggest be included in this stations and in what format?

My running is going well. Initially I was doubtful of the low mileage, but soon realised that the body needs time to recover from the Hyrox specific workouts, as they involve heavy weights laced with runs/ supersets and are exhausting. Maybe, when I do my second Hyrox, I would like to experiment with a slightly higher running mileage.
