Too much difference between low and mid volume--way to bridge the difference?

Hello,

I’m new to Athletica but not new to triathlon or structured training. For my 2025 race sesason my A race is an Ironman and I’ve got a couple of trail running races and a century ride in the buildup (there will probably be a bunch of shorter C races too). I want a plan that works me up to roughly 14 hours a week on average by mid-spring but doesnt go too much above 16. I’ve been playing with different training plan parameters and the low volume plan is way so low I don’t see how it would prepare me for a full IM, but the medium volume plan is way too high and has multiple 20+ hour weeks depsite mme saying 17 hour max in the parameters, and is setting some weekdays with 4 hours of training that isn’t realistic. Is there an effective way to trigger the AI to bridge the gap using the setup parameters?

It’s a bit puzzling that the settings suggest “Mid volume” for 7 - 15 hours / week, but when I asked Athletica for a mid volume 70.3 triathlon training plan, it generated one that starts with 14 hours (Base 2) and peaks at 21 hours (the final Build 3 week)! (Tried high volume just out of curiosity; it’s 18.5 to 25 hours).

If it matters at all, I set my training time availability to 7-12 hours, and then 7-15 hours (no impact).

I will go play with advanced settings now and see if anything changes.
