What happend to Recovery Rides?

I noticed to have Strength & Conditioning in my plan from next week on, while all Recovery Rides are gone.

Is this part of the normal plan, or has this to do with changes you did to the settings?

I noticed that there was a setting to have some bike workouts before, but now this looks very different…

Could I do something like “run: 80%” and “bike: 20%” to get the Bike Recovery back?

I’ve noticed that all my recovery rides are still there, but are by default now locked and have no workout wizard. I used for the first time this week, the workout wizard with modality walking; to substitute with recovery walk. I like at least one day a week off the bike. But for tomorrow’s recovery, ride there is no Workout Wizard option. I’ve unlocked it, to see if that will get the workout wizard options to be calculated for it.

Some major changes happening in our ‘Daily Availability’ release that’s coming, so ‘recovery rides’ were removed from the running plans. After the release, the user will have the option of programming these in themselves using the daily availability control in settings.

I was hoping to set up a marathon plan but still be able to keep up swimming and cycling for a triathlon in the fall, by using the workout wizard to change some runs or recovery rides to rides/swims, but it doesn’t seem like that’s possible now. Is this going to be possible in the new release? If so, when is that coming? I tried to manually tell athletica that I wanted to do 15% swimming, etc. but it told me the %s didn’t add up to 100 even though they did.

When will the release be done? My plan seems to have me “on hold” almost till my next race!

It looks like a lot of things have gotten mixed up… It would be nice if you could sort it out in the short term.

Hi @Harlerunner ,
Can you please be more specific on your issue? When I go to your plan (Performance Potential) I get a different picture than the one you show.

Hi all
I noted that except for my VO2max rides of tomorrow i have anymore workout wizard on my sessions for at least 3 weeks. Is this normal? Maybe i would need to change some sessions because i haven’t 2h 15’ to train in week days :woman_shrugging:

This is already discussed here: Missing Workout Wizard after updates

I just checked again and my chart looks like this:

In the “green range” I obviously accumulated far more fatigue than I will in the “red range”.

Wait a minute: I was opening the Performance Potential Chart in “Charts”. But it looks different (like yours) in “Overview”:

Try toggling ‘Combined’ vs ‘Run’ and you’ll see both. Athletica is working to optimize for your half marathon run.

Weird… Just opening the chart looks like this (“Run”):

Switching to “Combined” makes no difference:

But then switching back to “Run” produces the chart that’s also on “Overview”:
