AI Coach feedback on cycling power profile

When I look at my cycling power profile, the AI coach recommends that I include a few short sprints of 30–60 seconds at maximum effort to improve that area. The issue is, I’ve never actually been prescribed any sprint efforts in my workouts.

Should I wait for the coach to include sprints in future sessions, or is it better to just add a few on my own—even if that means getting flagged in the session feedback for not following the prescribed structure?

Also, when browsing the global workout library, I couldn’t find any sprint-focused cycling sessions. Are there any available, or is sprint work not currently part of the workout templates?

You have 30/30s with option to change them with workout wizard. Just do a couple at max effort to update power profile:m, or you can do your power profile test. Both should be on the global library.

@Matthias try going to your library and select the Power Profile test. Most report that doing this on Velocity is enjoyable and beneficial. I would replace this for your Saturday 30/30.

Thanks for the replies! I’m planning to include one or two all-out efforts during my Saturday 30/30 intervals, and then I’ll also do the full power profile test on the indoor trainer soon to update my numbers.

Is there any advantage to using the Velocity app for this, or would using another indoor training platform like MyWhoosh or Zwift work just as well?
