This is maybe a Garmin issue, but here’s what is going on.
Historically I’d start a run on my watch and the scheduled Athletica workout would pop up. Now the Garmin ‘suggested workout’ is showing up and I have to go into workouts on my watch to choose the Garmin workout. The Athetica workout is on Garmin and on the Garmin calendar and also on my watch… this has been going for a few days now.
Not sure if swim are doing the same thing since I haven’t had a swim since this new behaviour…
Anyway, it’s nice to just have the workout pop up vs finding it in Workouts in my watch… help???
Hey,
Not sure I understand: you want to do athletica workout but farming is also sending you their workout so you need to go looking for athletica one ?
Sounds like you need to go to your Garmin settings and untoggle “training plan” workouts to your watch.
It should be on your Garmin connect app interface easily accessible
I’ve found the sync to Garmin to be wonky lately. I’m on an older device (Fenix 6) and had some issues that required me to reset a couple of months ago, so I assumed it’s Garmin gradually making my watch annoying enough to use that I’ll upgrade. I had a couple of days of the behaviour you mention. Forced a connection through Connect and synced and it seemed to settle down.
On the plus side, after weeks of intermittent attempts, I finally managed to load the Workout Reserve field successfully.
I found that setting on my watch… had to dig into the Training menu and turned off the Garmin suggested workouts and then things started working again.
Calendar(on my watch) showed my Athletica workouts… life is good in that regard again!
The curious thing is I had not changed anything from my end, but maybe Garmin made some changes in the background, not sure.
Lesson learned is to turn off the Garmin suggested workouts if they annoyingly show up again.
