Implement lap button for (at least short) interval workouts

For running workouts (and outdoor bike workouts at least), I am not always well positioned to start my interval at a precise time. Sometimes to get in a good spot (terrain, traffic) I have to extend my warmup; sometimes the recovery takes longer (for example, it takes me longer than 30" to jog easy down the short hill I just sprinted up for 30").

In the past, when I’ve manually entered written workouts into garmin connect. I generally take use lap press for this reason, and I’ve found it quite helpful.

Please consider implementing a “lap press” to start the intervals for workouts that sync to garmin connect. For any warmup, recovery interval, or maybe even a big step up in effort, it would be great to have a lap press to start the effort. Especially for shorter intervals.

I agree with this. For instance, the Hill HiiT workout I keep getting given has a 10-minute warm-up and then lots of 100m hill sprints.

That makes it very difficult to be at the bottom of a steep hill after exactly 10 minutes!

I’ve resorted to changing the warm-up to longer and then pressing the lap button which ends the current workout step and then goes straight into the sprints.

I’m hoping that the Athletica system is clever enough to ignore the fact that I’ve skipped some of the warm up.
