Inconsistent load suggestions

I’m having two opposite warnings in the same workout:

the first says I’m training too hard (“Session warnings: Fitness and fatigue is not optimal at this stage. You have a high risk of overtraining. Consider moving or deleting some sessions”).

the second says the workout intensity has been increased (“Reason for session change

Increase in training load to ensure progressive overload”).

what should I do?!

Hi Joe

Can you add a screenshot to this chat? Have you adhered to the zones and pacing prescriptions for your previous sessions? Also do you have HRV data notifications pushed from your wearable to Athletica?

not a chat, just session warnings. I’m pretty much on prescriptions, but I don’t think it matters in this case: am I overtrained or undertrained?! I circled the incosistencies.

HRV is sent by my watch.

Thanks for sharing your plan Joe. I can see a couple of things. It looks like you have exceeded either the load of the session or perhaps executed it either beyond the recommended pace or time. Athletica will pick this up as possibly overtraining and will protect you from burnout or picking up an injury. There are a couple of things you can do. If you click on your coach, does he note your HRV is too low over the week? Sometimes if you go to the overview tab and click on the coach, he will give you a weekly update on your performance and note any inconsistencies. If your HRV is fine and you personally feel ok with no fatigue and are executing your sessions with no issues or tiredness, there is an option to turn off warnings from the AI, (if your feeling and RPE scores are all fantastic with no issues. - This is found in ">settings>profile>plan settings. Another thing to look at is your zones and pacing which is on your overview page. (Separate zone for each discipline) Have a look to see if they are up to date. These can be changed manually if you dont agree with them or think they are out of date. Lastly, depending when your A race is or goal, you can always do another test week (I know, we dont really like these) but sometimes we need to re-do these to get a more refined plan. If you go back to the start of your plan, you can save these to your library, then add them manually to a week that suits you. I think there might be some already in the Global Library, but not 100% sure about that. See how that goes for now. Kim

thank you for the clarification and suggestions. From a practical point of view (pushing harder VS slowind down) they’re valuable.

But I want to point that such an inconsistency looks like a bug. I can’t be overtrained and undertrained at the same time. What if a human coach gave such a feedback to an athlete?

No problems Joe. If you think there is a bug or need further clarification on your plan or a deeper dive, the Athletica help and support system can do this for you. They can guide you further to get a more tailored approach to your plan. Also make sure you are giving your feedback to the AI coach after each session, perhaps you are! Here is the link for further support. Athletica I hope you get sorted as it looks like you are smashing your workouts! Dont forget, you can still change sessions, delete and add from your global library. Its all about doing what is best for you

ok, looks like I can’t explain my point of view. But it’s fine.
