Injury: Stop and Restart

Hi guys, unfortunately yesterday I fell on my mountain bike and broke my collarbone… I’ll have One or two month off and then I’ll calmly resume training for Ironman Italy (September) hoping I haven’t lost much… I chose to set it to “Unscheduled” so as to “Block” the calculation of the Performance profile and recreate a plan when I can. I think it’s the best option… see you soon…!
The hard part is to stop a Ferrari used to training 2 hours a day and consuming 4000kcal to stay on the couch and not exceed 1800kcal.
Painkillers
Vitamin D Omega 3 and Calcium as supplements.
I will keep you updated…maybe in the future it can be useful (I hope not…!) to someone else…but unfortunately it is a common injury to cyclists…a hug!

I’m stopping my training for a month because of a stress fracture injury, so I’m actually asking which is the best way to deal with athletica.ai

Is “setting to unscheduled” the best way?

EDIT: I’ve just found this on the support TAB:

Adjusting training for illness or injury in Athletica

If you’re sick or injured, you can delete or skip training sessions without breaking your plan. You can use Workout Wizard Injury tab to select alternative, low stress alternatives and still feel like you’ve ticked your goals.”

I’ve currently got a broken elbow and a busy schedule. Its the first time in a long time I haven’t been able to prioritise training.

I’ve been using workout wizzard, which I find does a good job of managing the calandar. At the end of the day though its just a website. You could do nothing, get on with recovery and you can set up a new plan when you’re ready.

Heal up everyone! The approaches you’ve all identified are exactly what I’d do: start with deleting intensity sessions, using workout wizard to find those that I’m physically capable of doing, or more likely go unscheduled and do whatever PT and mobility stuff allowed. Good luck!

Since I can’t literally do nothing, I’m just keep the plan as it is, without deleting/changing anything.

First off — genuinely love the platform and what you’re building. The AI-driven planning is already a game-changer for masters athletes like me.

One feature request I keep coming back to: dedicated “Injury / Illness” and “Travelling” flags in the training log and plan view. For athletes managing multi-week blocks, these are the two most common reasons a planned session doesn’t happen — and right now there’s no clean way to tell Athletica why a day was missed, which affects how the AI recalibrates load going forward.

I know you’ve heard this before and that resources are the constraint — totally understood, you’re a small team doing a lot. I just wanted to put it on record again as a genuine priority from a user perspective, because I believe it would meaningfully improve training continuity tracking for the whole community.

Keep up the great work — looking forward to what’s coming next.
