I agree and I was in that boat myself back in the day and ran myself into the ground. However I would argue that this is what we’re trying to do for self-coached athletes and their coaches; measure the athlete’s response to training and make changes on the fly. We still have work to do but we are making progress in this space.

You chart the path and it’s what you need! Have a plan without distorting it too much while maintaining the key sessions. I turn the week upside down but if I enter all the key strenght and vo2 sessions I’m sure I did the right thing
