Hi,
I think I broke my Athletica Based on my question here Season planning questions - #5 by holkatriatlonka I have added “recovery week” by thicking the field - that had added extra recovery week called “Olympic plan recovery” to my plan. Now I have two recovery weeks in row, so I thought I will fix it by recalculating the entire plan - I have tried multiple times since yesterday but the plan recalculation doesnt go through
No error message, just no effect.
Thank you for help
I had that happen with my initial plan regeneration, I didn’t like it so changed settings to regenerate but nothing happened. I set it to “unscheduled” which wiped the plan completely then restarted and it worked for me.
Thanks @Jack did it wiped all previous workouts as well?
No, only future ones
@holkatriatlonka did you get your training plan back?
Hi @Marjaana thanks for asking, not yet. I cannot select “go unscheduled” from next week, so I am waiting for Sunday so I do not mess up this current week which is still correctly planned.
Hi @Marjaana , same thing for me here. I changed my plan to add a recovery week, but I then get two recovery weeks in a row plus the recovery week it added is generic and doesn’t adapt to my plan. There is more run volume scheduled for this recovery week than for a typical build week in my plan. Additionally, I can see from the previoulsy scheduled recovery week what the adaptations should be (lesser volume). What can I do from here?
Thank you
Hey @raph22
Thank you for your message.
You should not get more run volume on recovery week than on your build so that’s odd.
I’m flagging @Prof here, could you please have a look at @raph22 plan?
MJ
@marjaana I guess that highlights 2 issues really. 1. when swapping a week for a recovery week, the recovery week that is added is generic to the plan volume and won’t consider the athletes state as it typically would. 2. Let’s say I have a trip or a busy coming up and I want to shift my recovery week one week earlier so it lines up with a week where I am less available, the rest of the plan doesn’t update and I would have two recovery weeks in a row instead of then making the next build cycle 4 weeks (3 build+1 recovery) instead of the planned 3 (2weeks build+1 recovery).
Sorry late reply from my side here.
Yes I understand. I guess regenerating a plan would solve this, but @Prof maybe has some ideas up his sleeve.
You could also just let the plan runs its course and miss those workouts (that’s what i do) and pick up again once back. I understand it’s not optimal and you want to the plan to be a little more flexible in this regard.
I would suggest pulling the recovery week into your travel week and then regenerating the plan Saturday or Sunday (hit that “skip test week” so you have the plan ready to go on Monday.
Let me know if this helps,
MJ
All I can say ATM @raph22 @Marjaana is that this issue has been logged and the team is looking into it. It will come back to infrastructure adjustments but indeed that is in the cards these days to tweak. For now, you need to use Athletica as your guide but always remembering that context trumps content. Only you know your context. Day by day of course we’ll continue to get better at taking life into consideration around your training.
