My work schedule changes weekly and I work varied days and times and sometimes shift work. I have different amounts of time to train each week and have different days off from work each week. Does anybody else have a work schedule like this and how do you manage the training schedule?
I have similar, some weeks I have days where I can be very flexible in terms of the training I do and some days I could be out of the house early and not back until late.
This is the ideal thing with Athletica for me - I can set the plan up and then look at it on a weekly and daily basis, move sessions around to fit my schedule and know that it will always be looking to adjust to ensure maximum potential.
Tuesday’s are a great example - on my triathlon plan it has me down for a swim / 1hr run and a 2.5 hour bike ride most weeks. Sometimes I can do this - majority of the time I can’t. All I do is shift the run to a Monday or a Wednesday and let the plan reset.
I find this is better than setting parameters for the plan as to what I want to do when, as my situation can change on a daily basis.

The best solution is moving days around in the week. It’s an easy process to move workouts. Sometimes you’ll end up with back to back intensity, but generally, you can find a solution that works for your individual schedule. I have several athletes who have changing work schedules, and we move workouts around frequently, and sometimes, honestly, the workouts can’t get done. That’s okay! We do what we can.
