Travel for Work - Every Other Week

Hello!

I’m just getting started with Athletica and enjoying what I am seeing so far. I have a rather unique work schedule and wanted some advice. I travel very often for work (for two jobs). One of those jobs is very structured with my time off - I am home for one week, and traveling for one week. Seven days at home, seven days on the road (specifically Wednesday-Tuesday; then home until the next Wednesday). I know the exact days that I am gone for work, so it at least is predictable. When I am gone, I am staying in hotels with “minimal” equipment. Primarily I’m able to run (on treadmills) and occasionally bike on whatever may be available in the hotel gym. Very rarely will I be able to swim (unless there is a YMCA or something next to the hotel).

What would be your recommendation for adjusting the training weeks when I am gone for work? Should I move workouts around / delete them? Or use the weekly scheduler in the Training Settings and adjust it every week before I leave and when I come home? Is there another option?

I guess at least it is some kind of routine you have!!!

If it was me I would just let the plan create on it’s own, then amend the upcoming week (when travelling) by deleting/moving training sessions around. It doesn’t really matter if/when you do this as the AI Coach should just adjust the future plan day by day. It’s more of a personal choice (for me I hate seeing a “missed session” so I just delete it!).

Trying to mess around with the weekly scheduler on a regular basis I think would be way too time consuming and would mean rebuilding your plan every other week - not giving you the consistency of just one plan.
