Last Thursday, I did a bike activity on Zwift which didn’t show any data when it uploaded to Athletica. I played around with uploading the file manually, but there seemed to be issues with Athletica and I left it until yesterday to try to resolve after the maintenance. I uploaded it again yesterday, and today it is missing once again.
Surely the system wouldn’t trash an activity without presenting the user with an error message or the opportunity to override? If it had not been for the fact that I had done a couple of sprints and I was curious what affect they would have on my power curve, I wouldn’t necessarily even know that the activity was removed after I uploaded it and that my load numbers are now not accurate.
I don’t know what triggered this, but I would very much like to know IF an activity is rejected and why.
I’m a very new user of Athletica and I really would like to make it work, but my confidence in the system is not that high based on some behaviours that don’t make sense and are completely opaque. For example, my threshold heart rate values change with no explanation, I periodically am notified that my (sport) fitness is too high or low and I should change plans, also with no explanation. I have had heart rate data flagged which I only discovered after posing a question here. I’ve had to manually enter critical power numbers (from intervals.icu) so that my intervals feel right and my load numbers reflect actual work. I would really like to see a log or explanation of changes rather than simply putting my faith in a black box which seems like it might be using a set of assumptions that don’t quite match my situation.
