Disparity between HR and Pace

Using my own data from Vo2 running test, I asked the system to create a 10k plan over 6 weeks. I’m a soccer player really, but wanted to build up my base before season begins in fall. I’m also 47. There is a major disparity between my suggested running pace and suggested HR. If i follow the HR guidelines, I’m too slow (around 12m/mil) to meet the mileage suggestion. i can sustain running at around 10min/ml but HR is around 30bpm higher than recommended. Curious for any insights.

Same here. Not sure how to handle it.

I trust the heart rate. If the runs are meant to be aerobic / slow go with it and run easy. Ignore the pace completely.

Hey, As @Adam suggests, go by Heart rate when aerobic sessions, and by pace when intervals/tempo work. when doing aerobic work, just let your heart rate dictate your pace, and aim to complete the duration, not distance. If you have to walk, then walk. You can also try walk/run method. Run easy, then walk for 1 min if HR jumps above your targeted recommendation.Hope this helps.
