Allenamento ironman

Ciao a tutti.
Quest’anno ho deciso di fare il quarto ironman, a giugno 2025.
Sino ad oggi mi sono allenato sempre con un coach e quest’anno volevo cominciare con athletica che mi sembra un ottimo strumento.
Tuttavia qualche dubbio vedendo gli allenamenti di aprile e maggio soprattutto per quanto riguarda i combinati che mi sembrano troppo corti (da parte running)
Volevo sapere da chi ha già usato questo strumento se gli allenamenti si adattano piano piano che si va avanti.

Great question and we often get that.

Remember that when you look at your plan forward, it isn’t calculating what you will do between now and April. As you train, Athletica plan changes based on what you do and don’t do. Meaning, the workouts will change. Your plan is not your regular Ironman training plan off the internet or a coach that doesn’t change based on your executed or missed workouts.

We believe that instead of running yourself to the ground with long running sessions, it is frequency of running that will set you up for better result. If you can increase your weekly running KM steadily during the week, you’ll stay injury free and better able to run a decent marathon off the bike in Ironman.

For example, my longest run sessions going into IM Texas and IM World Champs in Nice topped at 28K and for stand alone marathon at 32-33km.
