Assistance with Syncing Correct Data to Athletica

Hi,

I am completing my test week and need help ensuring correct data is synced to Athletica.

Usage Details:

  • Device: Apple Watch 8
  • Athletica Synced with: Strava

Issues Encountered

1. Swim Data

2. Indoor Bike Data

  • My indoor bike data for the MAF test, imported via Strava, is also incomplete. Missing metrics include distance and power (watts).
  • When I exported the same workout from TrainingPeaks and manually uploaded it to Athletica, the issue was resolved.
  • I have deleted the Strava-imported workout but attached a screenshot of the manually uploaded TrainingPeaks workout for comparison.

Concerns and Questions

I consider TrainingPeaks my source of truth for workout data, as Strava often misrepresents or omits key metrics. This has confirmed my concerns about relying on Strava for accurate data in Athletica.

To address this:

  1. Is there a way to sync data from Apple Health/Apple Watch directly to Athletica to bypass Strava inaccuracies?
  2. If not, is syncing directly with TrainingPeaks an option? This would provide several benefits:
    • From TrainingPeaks to Athletica: Athletica receives accurate data.
    • From Athletica to TrainingPeaks: Structured workout import to other devices would be resolved.

Me personally, I rely on TrainingPeaks for structured workout imports to these platforms:

  • Apple Watch
  • Technogym indoor trainers
  • Wahoo devices

Please let me know how I can optimize data syncing to ensure accurate results in Athletica.

Thank you for your support!

Hi,
I am about to wrap up my test week and I would like to upload accurate data. Could I get any follow up on my questions please? Specifically now with the Strava API update, there are more than relevant and actual.
Thank you.

Hi @holkatriatlonka,
Yes - the Strava data is often problematic, as you’ve noted.
Please read through this thread and contribute to the poll if you feel its relevant.
As mentioned in the thread, we are moving forward to make changes, however these will take a bit of time, so you’ll need to continue with your current methods in the interim.
Best,
Paul

Hi @Prof ,
Thank you, I have been already following the thread and I will continue to check for updates.
I have another great example of the data incosistency during the test week, my MAF test outcome was completely different from Strava:

And from TP:

Importing workouts from TP could do the trick, but I cannot manually do it for each workout. I have not found any other option how to upload data to Athletica.
