Hi. Could I please added to beta version? Thanks!
Welcome to beta @Desanser
Hi all. I have some difficult with my availability. I asked to have my long run on wednesday and long bike on sunday. The program do not understant that:
- on wedneday is not possible for me do other things over the run. Instead it insists to put also a long bike that i will not do.
- for some reason, for next week it fulls some day of hours and hours of training that leave me 2 days on rest.
- the program seems to understand i want do long bike on sunday but it forgot to link the run of the bike on Saturday so i always change the run of sunday with run of the bike of saturday
In general it will be very useful if i can set a costraints but also an amount of time for each day we can reserve to training. In the middle of the week for me is very hard find more than 1.5 hours and i always cut those 2 hours bike session it precribes.
Hi all.
I see a lot of talk about this “daily time availability”.
When using this feature do you only set a “deafault” week or can you manage your time available on the specific dates?
My work schedule is really interchangeable from week to week and it would be extremely usefull for me to have the opportunity to set time per date.
This is solved by telling Athletica you want to bike “no more than 1 minute” on Wednesdays.
Same happened when I tried using the beta feature “too much”. In my case, I limited the run to 1 minute each day in order to get a swim-bike program, and/or I got very prescriptive about when I want to do what. Athletica got all confused and set the weekend to rest days while stacking everything else on top of one another during the week.
Maybe this can be solved by getting even more prescriptive and setting minimum bike/run/swim volume on what are now rest days?
Hi. Default week only.
Thx, that is unfortunate… Would be awesome.
Also if you take som time off work to go on a training camp etc.
Hi, I actually find this approach better. It’s easier to tell the program in advance what our availability is, rather than having to specify our unavailability. It makes for a much better user experience. In my opinion, it’s an idea worth pursuing
I tried and i don’t know why but for next week it made a disaster of planning instead for the nexts seems it undestands my request…but the run of the bike remain on saturday when i haven’t bike
From my point of you it could a lot more useful if we can fix the sport we can do on each day and the time we could have. We can choose also more sports for one day in order to leave at the program the better for that session.
Could I be added to the beta please?
Welcome to beta @tgarne
Good Morning, is it possible for me to get in on this too please?
Now that my previous A race cycle is over, I’m trying out the modality constraints. Time constraints work well overall, but the modality ones don’t seem to do what I expect on a marathon/running plan.
I’ve set Thursdays as “bike no more than 90 minutes”, which I interpret to mean I only want to bike on Thursdays (i.e. no runs, no S&C, etc.) with a 90 minute time cap.
But what’s happening is I’m still getting runs and S&C workouts on Thursdays, and no bikes at all.
I know I’ve had running plans prescribe bike rides for me before, so I think it should be possible, in theory. Any ideas as to why that’s not happening for me?
The setting for biking on Thursdays likely only addresses biking. What if you also set that you want to run no more than one minute on Thursdays? I don’t love that setting though. I’d prefer a setting where it says “NO running on X day”
That seems counterintuitive to me, too. I tried it anyways, and the result is that I never get any sessions of any kind scheduled for Thursdays.
Seems that would force a bike workout if you also kept “bike no more than 90 minutes” on Thursdays.
