Bug reports

A bug…
For my cycling chart only my Observed peak speed is showing. The day before all of the other measures were displayed for VT1, CS, and MAS. Swimming and Running are displaying fine. Thoughts are what may have happened? Joe

Thanks @KinesioMS … bug reported

Bugs in input consistency and math for the AI summaries.

First, it sometimes looks at total time and sometimes looks at moving time, inconsistency in the same writeup. See image below for today’s 46:27 swim where the AI references moving time of 37 minutes. However, it later decides to apply the whole 46:27 to calculate a 2:43/100 pace, when it was actually 2:12 when you look at moving only. This is just one example, it’s consistently inconsistent.

Also, you can see the feedback I’m about to give it on its math - not sure where it came up with 15% LOL

e

PS - when will it be able to take into account total workouts and load, and not just look at individual workouts in isolation?

@kimberg we’re working hard on improving the AI coach session summary and creating a longer-term view on training as we speak.

In fact, here’s a sneak peak of where we’re at. We still have some work to do on formatting and content, but we will be releasing something to beta testers in the not-too-distant future.

Thanks, promising. From the example it seems to summarize in the overview but then still only analyze the single workout w/o any commentary on how it all comes together, but great step in the right direction.

My Cycling power profile chart is still only showing Observed peak power within the last 6 week time frame. If I expand to more weeks it displays the other metrics. Swimming and running chart profiles are displaying as they should.

Hi @KinesioMS , You haven’t been forgotten and I can see your reported bug is in our backlog list. Sorry for the delay.

Hi

I think there is a bug with my running heart rate zones even though my critical HR has not moved.

It looks to me like the zone ranges have mirrored swimming which obviously isn’t right. Changing my critical heart rate and re-saving doesn’t update it.

To get over this temporarily changed my run workouts to pace based.

Reported thanks @Adam

The AI seems to continually mix up load and length. The run was 50m and the load was 59, but the AI says the run was 59m.

I think there are a few bugs with critical HR in the athletes zone section.

  1. When I change my critical HR for bike from 183 to 174 and click on the update button neither the threshold nor the zones are updated.

  2. When I change my critical HR for swim from 168 to 164 and click on the update button the threshold is updated but the zones aren’t.

  3. When I change my default critical HR and click on the update button the heart rate zones for my swim session are updated.

Much appreciate if you can have a look into it :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks in advance!

Good morning. The last few weeks I have run into a few issues and I’m wondering what’s normal in Athletica and what is a bug?

  1. I am seeing big changes dynamically happening frequently within my training plan one day out and beyond…for example:
Friday (today) was to be a 1900m swim 2 days ago. Then it was two swims (1900 plus another 1600 or so), then back to 1 swim, and this morning it’s a 2200 m swim. The 2200m swim makes sense, but all of the back and forth - plus having two long swims on the same day - didn’t.
  2. Tomorrow’s workout was to be a 1hr40min bike and a strength session, and Sunday a run (50 min I think). It then changed a number of times over the last few days, and now it’s 2 bikes: 1hr40 and 1hr50 combined for Saturday! and a strength for Sunday. I expect the volume/loads to change dynamically based on what I achieve each day, but the wild swings in volume and the constant changes in discipline make it hard for me to plan. And 2 long rides combined during my base training don’t make sense to me.

  1. My run pace zones have shifted again (this happened after my test runs a few weeks ago and MJ and I adjusted them), and are faster than what I am able to do right now. The heart rate zones are accurate.

Any help/advice you can provide is appreciated!

Thanks,
ayn

ps I am loving the program…just trying to figure out how to use it and optimize my time and training

Hey @wilcoxa35
I think it is because of the Daily time constraints. We are working on this feature still and it is not perfect. Unfortunately if you give it too many constraints, it goes a little “crazy”. I suspect this is the case here. Is there anything

Let’s try this:
Take out all of these:
Screenshot 2024-12-06 at 1.57.06 PM
Regenerate the plan and see what happens.

Or, instead of telling it no swimming on certain days, just move the swims to those days your pool is available, and delete the rest if you don’t have time to do all (I know Athletica wants you to swim a lot).

Don’t worry, we will figure out a way for you to feel like the weekly plan works for you. May take some trial and error but we are here to help you.

I just added my races for next year and some are running. Have a few B and C events as training and mixing triathlons with trail running and might have broken it - I had one trail run as an A race and got this error. Can’t non-try events be A?

Also while you’re in there: typo, it’s “your” not “you’re” :innocent:

should still work @kimberg… which one were you hoping to A race? the 50k?

@kimberg you may want to consider adding some of those races as “training races” directly in your training calendar.

  • go to your calendar
  • Hit plus sign
  • Add title
  • write your goals with the race, mantra etc
  • Modality “note”
  • save

Consider what type of Athletica workout best matches with the race and move workout to that day. For example, “race pace efforts” plus ROB to match Olympic distance for example. Not exactly the same but close.

I would do this instead of declaring a race which means you will basically just train through your C race. No taper or just couple of easier days before the race to shed some fatigue.

If you have many races and put them all in your calendar as such, athletica will give you taper weeks which can break up your training progress to make sure you are fresh for the race. If race is a training race, why taper?

That’s at least how I do training races.

Thoughts?

I can do that, but do want at least a little awareness in the system to slightly taper for the B races which I thought it did, and also thought it treated C races as training w/o taper, but did I see that wrong? LMK and I’ll go tweak it.

@Prof yes the error was for having the 50k as A, thanks

Oh forgot to mention and even if I do that, I still wanted the 50k to be an A with a taper, then back to normal with a 3mo gap to the next A

Is there anyone from the development team who had already the chance to have a look into my questions? Thanks in advance!:slightly_smiling_face:

For sure you want that 50k as a A race :kissing_heart:
