Sessions warning

Hi,

I got a session warning for this week.

What makes me wonder is, if I go into my recovery profile and it is saying that I am in great shape.

How does this fit together?

Did you ever get a response on this? I’m also wondering: if there’s a warning why doesn’t the platform adjust the plan automatically? I have a few warnings in the next few days and it’s just weird to have to adjust almost all of my sessions manually if the AI should do it more intelligently.

Hey @TriBuddha and @camargofernando

Sorry no reply, this has slipped our eyes as we are hard a work delivering something super exciting which I’m pretty sure you’ll all love.

The session warning is based on the TRIMP fitness-form-fatigue model, and doesn’t take into considering your HRV or resting HR. There’s a bit of a disconnection there for sure. Remember, HRV is just one tool in your tool box. If you are feeling good, disregard session warning. TRIMP model is just a model, like a blueprint of your program. It helps us build the train tracks towards your individual goals. But because it is built on models, and we humans are complex beings with unique physiology, stress, life, we hardly ever stay on those rigid train tracks. Are you with me?

The warning is there to alert you to check in with yourself. When you see a warning in your training plan, it means that recent load has exceeded certain “guard rails”, and caution is advised. It doesn’t mean stop training. Our number one goal is to get you fittest possible without getting you ill, injured or overtrained, sometimes we may be over-cautious, but your health is our first priority.
Essentially, we believe you should still be on the driver’s seat, not AI, and that’s why you have to make those small adjustments yourself based on your overall daily feel, not maths.

Hope this answers some of your concerns.
MJ
