Tomorrow I originally had a 3:50:00 bike ride scheduled “right around your L3b pace”. When I went to export the ZWO for the session from the webapp literally 15 minutes after viewing it in the android app, it increased to 4:11:00 (adding one additional 30’ work interval).
I have two notices on the workout:
1)Session warnings: Fitness and fatigue is not optimal at this stage. You have a high risk of overtraining. Consider moving or deleting some sessions.
2) Reason for Change: Increase in training load to ensure progressive overload.
These seem to be in direct contradiction with each other. If my fitness and fatigue is not optimal and at risk of overtraining, then it should not have extended the session by 33%.

Sorry for an incredibly late reply.
the overtraining warning is associated with Fitness, Fatigue and Form numbers. Sometimes when you do back-to-back sessions (and perhaps doing more than prescribed, or at higher intensity), this triggers a warning message. When you see these, just ask yourself if they make sense to you, and your overall energy levels and feel of fatigue. They are not perfect yet, but can sometimes be an indicator of taking it easy (Z2). Contradictionary extension of bike session… could be a bug. Could you please take a screenshots and report to us if this happens again? It is always easier to trouble shoot when we have screenshots.
What did you end up doing?
Well, I didn’t have the time available to do a 4 hour session, so I ended up attempting the originally planned three 30’ work sessions (by doing a real-time skip of the 4th interval). Ironically, I ended up failing the workout at cooldown (Zwift and my Garmin were battling for control of the trainer and the resistance unexpectedly increased, and by that point I was so fatigued that I put myself into a resistance spiral that I couldn’t get out of).
This in general was a hard workout - (20 minutes @ 93% of FTP + 10 mins @ 70% of FTP x 4 sets). Over an hour of near FTP work is, by definition, very demanding, so I don’t know if this is a case of overtraining, carrying fatigue into the workout, or just a mental blip that caused the failure.

To me it seems the overtraining warning message might have been right then
though I’ve also had zwift failures like that (ended up with a new trainer at one point, but I digress)…and that the workout extension was a bug. If it happens again post a screenshot for the team.
